Setting up your own Router (BYO) - Fibre Internet

The following information below provides guidelines for setting up your own router.


You need to ensure that your router meets the following requirements:
Supports PPPoE or DHCP/IPoE.
VLAN tagging on WAN Interface.
Fibre Ready.


Settings for Fibre (UFB) connections using PPPoE
Connection Type / Encapsulation Protocol: PPPoE
Connection Type: Ethernet
PPP User Name: [username]@auth.icecold.nz
PPP Password:
VLAN Tagging (802.1Q): 10
VLAN Priority: (802.1P): 0 (Specify if mentioned)
MTU: 1492
MSS: 1452

Settings for  Fibre (UFB) connections using DHCP / IPoE
Connection Type / Encapsulation Protocol: DHCP
Connection Type: Ethernet
VLAN Tagging (802.1Q): 10
VLAN Priority: (802.1P): 0 (Specify if mentioned)
MTU: 1500
MSS: 1460
