Setting up your own Router (BYO) - ASDL/VDSL

The following information below provides guidelines for setting up your own router.


You need to ensure that your router meets the following requirements:
Supports PPPoE or DHCP/IPoE.
VLAN tagging on WAN Interface.


Settings for ADSL Connections
Encapsulation Protocol: PPPoA
Connection Type: ATM
PPP User Name: [username]@auth.icecold.nz
PPP Password:
Multiplexing: VC-Mux
VPI: 0
VCI: 100
MTU: 1492


Settings for VDSL Connections
Encapsulation Protocol: PPPoE
Connection Type: PTM
PPP User Name: [username]@auth.icecold.nz
PPP Password:
VLAN Tagging (802.1Q): 10
VLAN Priority: (802.1P): 0
MTU: 1492
